ENGINEERED ADDICTION
Project Overview:
'Engineered Addiction' is my undergraduate senior thesis exploring how sugary drinks, specifically soda, have become deeply embedded in consumer culture despite the long-term health consequences. My project investigates how aggressive marketing, branding, and everyday accessibility encourage habitual consumption while masking the physical risks associated with these products. Through the deliverables I aim to present a visual narrative that examines the relationship between consumerism, addiction, and the hidden costs of one of the world's most normalized products.
Thesis Statement:
This thesis critiques how consumer culture conceals harm and invites addiction. Addiction is a byproduct of consumer culture and can ultimately create habits that damage the physical body. I aim to raise awareness specifically through the investigation of consumption through sugary drinks.
Deliverables:
Editorial Publication
Motion Poster
Sticker Series
3D, Print, & Motion Design
